Noida Authority declares registration for pet dogs in Noida. The pet owner will be charged INR 500 annually for getting their dog registered. In case of non registration of the pet the owner will be liable of fine of INR 5000. Post registration, every pet dog will be issued a bar-coded identity card which will be geo-tagged. It would be mandatory for dogs to wear it. Noida Authority assured that the steps to get pet dogs registered are easy. This amended policy has come into force due to increase in complaints of dog bites and excreta being found at parks and other public places in the city. As per the new guidelines, everybody will have to get registered and Pay annual registration in the month of April every year. Penalty will also be imposed on the owners on unleashing their pet dogs in public places or the pets are found defecating in the open. A pet owner can visit Noida Authority website and follow steps to get their pet dog registered.
